TL;DR:

Check out his Youtube channel here.
How did I start doing this?
So, I’ve always wanted to be an entrepreneur of some sort (and a developer too, but that’s neither here nor there). I had no idea how to start my journey though. I found a guy called John Sonmez on Youtube quite by accident actually. I watch a LOT of tech and developer channels over there and I happened across a couple of his videos. They are actually really good, and really positive most of the time. You should totally check him out -> John Sonmez/SimpleProgrammer on Youtube. He’s a developer, entrepreneur, and pseudo life coach all rolled into one. I don’t want to speak too much for him, so go check it out. I highly recommend it.
After watching his videos for a while, I saw a link for his FREE blogging course. I think I may have had to go to his website, simpleprogrammer.com to find it, but I don’t remember for sure. Anyway, once you sign up for this course (yet again, it’s FREE) you’ll get a coupe of emails per week with tons of valuable information about how to start your own blog. Because of his partnerships with other websites, you will also receive special links that offer discounts on products that you’ll need to start your blog. Seriously, it’s pretty awesome. Did I mention that it’s FREE? So what do you have to lose? Go here to get started: simpleprogrammer.com/blog-course
Why does any of this matter?
Alright, I live in a small southern town. I can count on one hand how many people actually have a clue about writing code here. It’s pretty tough to stay motivated sometimes. The people I want to surround myself with are so few and far between, ya know? That’s why I recommend this guy. It’s up to you to keep yourself motivated, but whether you need a friendly kick in the rear or a fresh perspective on things, his videos will certainly give that to you.
As always, thanks for reading!
